Semana Seis (Another week in paradise!)

Hello my peoples!

Once again another week has come and gone! Sometimes it can be difficult to gauge your progress here at the MTC, but my Spanish does seem to be a least some what better now than it was at the beginning of the week so I will be so bold to dare count that as a successful week! We had to say goodbye to some pretty incredible teachers which was sad, but hopefully I'll survive. You don't teach any TRC lessons in your final week at the MTC, so it was actually pretty chill, and when I say chill I mean that every second of the day was spent frantically trying cram in as much study as possible because you're getting thrown into the field Monday morning at 3:50 AM whether you like it or not!

But man, am I excited for it! I've had a lot of people asking about how I feel about getting out there and leaving the MTC............ Let me describe what I'm hoping for...........

I hope for the plane to touch down, I will want to talk to my mission president, and then I just want to break free, sprinting the streets of Dallas and running down/sharing the gospel with anyone who will listen (Even those who won't..........) I want to sprint house to house and just go crazy in the gospel! Am I insane? Undoubtedly, and I love it!!

So please, don't feel worried for me, please feel worried for those poor people in Dallas who will not get any peace or rest (Except for the peace the spirit brings..........) for the next 23 months while I'm there! That is how I feel about getting out there! It doesn't even matter that I will hardly be able to speak the language! And I know, the reality and difficulty of what I'm going out there to do will probably smack me pretty hard when I get out there, but I'm ready for it, and I know that with the help of the Lord I will hopefully not die in the process!

Well.............. Gospel talk is good, (In fact it's the best!), but here is a story pretty close to it! I just want to beg forgiveness in advance...... If you want to keep that vision of me as the perfect missionary in every possible way, please skip the following paragraph, but........ If you want to read about one of the greatest pranks ever pulled at the MTC, please continue reading! (Sorry mom, I know I probably shouldn't share this........)

To late now, here we go! One day this week Elder Peterson and I had left class early to go pick up some dry cleaning and run a couple other necessary errands......... Well we came back to our room, and we happened to remember that one of our good friends in the zone had just received three HUGE boxes of food (Over 200$ dollars worth of food.......) the previous day and all those goodies were sitting on his desk on the other side of a locked door. Luckily for us (Namely Elder Peterson and I..........), a locked door means nothing! In a spark of inspiration, the operation began! In a matter of minutes using a severed cable from a vacuum cleaner, dental floss and a piece of card board (All these items were handed down to us from other missionaries.......) we had opened their door open and the extraction process began! In another five minutes their room was barren! All the food had been neatly stashed in the closest of our zone leader, mattresses had been entirely removed the room and hidden in custodial closest, and the room which was previously full of stuff was now empty and ready for new Elders to move in! After an excited high five Elder Peterson and I returned to studying! Luckily the elders who fell victim to the prank took it like champs after a moment of panic, all of their things (Including mattresses........) were promptly returned!

I couldn't leave the MTC without doing something worth remembering, now could I? Life is good everyone, thank you all so much for the support! I love you all, and continue to pray for you! I testify that this church is true with all of my heart! Please, continue to reach to the Lord and I know that he will catch you when you fall! My next email will be from the heart of Texas! Love you all!

Your obedient Elder, (Except when he simply needs to break into a room and steal everything..........)
~Elder Fox
