Semana Treinta y Dos (In Which I Baptize and Feel More Like a Secretary Than a Missionay........) (Greenville)

Howdy-do!

Yes, you guessed it. It's me again! Your friendly neighborhood Elder Fox, who doesn't actually live in your neighborhood because he's currently serving a mission in Texas. This week was a good one. I was able to perform a surprise baptism which I was expecting, so that was pretty cool! Her name was Ashley, and the week before I actually got to do her baptismal interview (Which in and of itself was an experience), but then come to find out she also wanted me to perform the baptim!? Hey, I'm not in the business of saying no baptism requests. So Saturday morning, the whole Heath District met up in Rowlett for the baptism. I'm so proud of Ashely and her decision to be baptized. I've really been thinking a lot about baptism lately. I could quote the scripture in 2 Nephi 31, but I'm feeling too lazy........ But if Christ he being perfect had need to be baptized, how much more need we have to be baptized with our imperfections. It's clearly stated through out the bible that we NEED to be baptized. I'm not sure how those "Saved by Grace" folks miss that...... It's not that hard guys. Open your bibles for crying out loud! Argh!

In the mission field zone-leaders are supposed to give a detailed monthly  report to the stake presidents on the missionary efforts in their stakes. We'll with all the recent transitions, that responsibility ended up on my shoulders this week......... Let's just say that I am not a big fan of SPR reports. All Saturday I felt more like a secretary than missionary. Not to put down secretarial work in any way! It's very important, I'd just much rather be out working, teaching, and knocking the doors of people who will shortly reject my message and close the door in my face. Luckily it's done and my meeting with the Stake President went well.

Besides that life is rolling along. We had five investigators at church on Sunday which was pretty good. It's cooled off a little bit here in Texas, but it's still very humid. That about wraps it up. We'll keep it short this week, so you can have more time to study your scriptures today. You're welcome.

Have a great day and a blessed week!
