How would I describe my morning? Well, it may sound odd, but the closest thing I can think of is Christmas morning! Elder Bailey and I sprang out of bed at 6:30 and giddily ran to grab our phones....... IT HAD COME. This is what the email said.......

What the wack! I can't be a Zone Leader already, I was just starting to figure out this District Leader thing! This morning has been a crazy blur of phone calls, packing, and cleaning. I have loved my time here in Greenville. I've learned and grown more than I thought would be possible, but Allen awaits and it would be an understatement to say that I am anything less than estatic about this next step in my mission! Wish me luck!
I've got a lot to do today, so we'll keep this short. But I did want to share one cool story out of my journal before I close........
09/1/18 (Day 247) (Saturday)
"We taught the coolest lesson this morning! A few days ago we contacted a Hispanic lady named Alma, who said we could come back Saturday morning. Though the contact did not seem very promising, we decided to go. When we got there we spoke to her husband (In very broken Spanish) at the door who said that Alma wasn't home. Luckily we saw her inside, and we were reluctantly invited inside. This couple was SUPER Catholic, but hey, everyone needs the Restored Gospel! We started talking to Alma in our very broken Spanish despite the fact that the TV was on, and her husband was banging away at a saddle with a hammer in the same room. You could hardly hear anything over the rucus. (The husband was clearly trying to drown us out.......) Despite the less than favorable conditions we continued on, and slowly, but surely, things started to change as we spoke. The husband, stopped banging on the saddle, and then slowly turned off the TV (It was clear he was listening intently.....). Finally he sat down and both of them were intently listening. (And this is all with us hardly being able to speak Spanish......) Before we knew it they were both asking deep sincere questions! "How do you know Joseph Smith is prophet?" "How was the authority lost?" "What's wrong with the Catholic Church?" "Does the Pope not have the authority?" We were bold with our answers. I told the husband to his face that the Catholic church did not have the authority, and as good as the Pope is, he's just a good man. I expected Ruffy to reject my answers. I just told him his whole religion was wrong, but instead he did the exact opposite. Without even asking about a return appointment they asked us when we would be coming backto share more. They even invited us to share more about what we had talked about with their friends. They were facinated, and it was clear they were feeling the spirit. It was incredibly to see them go from fighting against us, to feeling the spirit and humbling themselves to listen. It's awesome teaching devote Catholics."
That about wraps it up! Allen here I come!
