How ya'll!
This was quite the week! As mentioned in a previous email, I spent the week up in Mckinney in a Spanish Biking area, and let's just say that was AWESOME. I. LOVE. BIKING.
I mean it took some getting used to, but by the end, I was sold. What's up with these cars that we're supposed to drive. Let's all just bike everywhere! Also it was great to finally get some solid Spanish down. All in all it was a great week! Found lot's of people, and even set a baptismal date with a lady. On Thursday we had MLC (Mission Leadership Council) at the mission home in Frisco, and that was awesome. I had been to a District leader MLC before this, but Zone Leader MLC's are so much better. We discussed the needs of the mission, and talked about being a consecrated missionary. So great. We've been having a really great trend lately in the mission, where August was first the best month of the year in way of baptisms, now September, now this last week was the highest baptizing week of the year. The Lord truly has his hands in this work. I know it and testify of it.
Oh another cool thing! We had a baptism in our area! (The first one this area has had in the last five months! Woot woot!) her name was Sadie Robbins! Super awesome ten year old girl. That was so great! Also! I hit nine months last week! Time is seriously flying out here......... It's the weirdest thing. Before I know it, it'll be Christmas!
Now for a funny story to wrap up this email.......... On my exchange this past week, we were biking through downtown Mckinney and we stumbled into this HUGE beer festival that the city was putting on called Oktober Feast.......... It was the funniest thing. Two Latter Day Saint missionaries walking through the middle of a beer festival where everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was drinking! Well not everyone because we did bump into a few members (Who luckily were not drinking.......) and looked surprised to see the missionaries in attendance. It was so funny, and we were busting up the whole time.
But that's my week! I'm loving my time here. North Dallas areas are considered to be tougher areas for the missionaries just because very few people want to hear our message, but I'm seriously enjoying it. This church is true, and I'm so grateful for it. We have General Conference coming up this next week, and I would invite each one of you to prepare for it. Come with questions, and you'll find answers.
I love each and everyone of you. Have a blessed week!
